The Micronutrient Forum meeting sessions will take place at the The Ceylan InterContinental Istanbul Hotel. This beautiful five-star hotel is located in the heart of Istanbul next to Taksim Square, with historical points of interest, fashionable shops, and a wide range of restaurants just a short stroll away. Its location ensures impressive views over the city’s spectacular scenery, including the Bosphorus, the famous strait that divides the European from the Asian continent.

The interior design of the hotel reflects a skilful mixture of regional art and culture against the backdrop of an international environment. The hotel has 380 rooms with 55 suites. Special Conference Rates

The Ceylan InterContinental Istanbul Hotel is pleased to offer Micronutrient Forum delegates special conference room rates as noted below.

* 18% VAT (tax) is included (per night, per room). (The rate is subject to any legal changes in the VAT rate.)
* Accommodation bookings will only be accepted with credit card guarantee or first night’s deposit.
* A one-time USD $4.00 per person tip will be automatically added to the room account.
* Breakfast is NOT included in the room rate.

Making Reservations

A block of rooms is reserved for meeting delegates at the Ceylan InterContinental Istanbul Hotel. To receive the special rate, you MUST use the Hotel Reservation Form. Reservations made by other means will not have this special rate. Make your reservation by completing the form and faxing or e-mailing it directly to the hotel. One night’s advance deposit is required for each room. Reservations will not be processed without the deposit.

Reservations, accompanied by the deposit, must be received by the hotel no later than 15 March 2007. After this date, hotel reservations at the special rate will only be available as space permits. Because Istanbul hotels are very busy throughout the year, and April is the start of tourist travel to Turkey, we strongly recommend that you make your reservation early. You are responsible for your room charges, meals, and all incidental expenses.

Confirmation of your reservation will be sent directly to you by the hotel. If paying by credit card, please complete the credit card box on the Hotel Reservation Form. For direct bank or wire transfer of your deposit, send to the hotel’s account directly:

Payment Method
American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Eurocard credit cards; U.S. dollars bank draft; or direct bank deposit are accepted for deposit and payment. We regret that personal checks cannot be accepted.

Changes and Cancellations
Written notice of cancellation must be received by the hotel 30 days prior to arrival for full refund of your deposit. No refunds will be given after this date or to no-shows.

Secondary Hotels

Secondary Hotel and Airport Transfer Request Form

A very limited number of rooms are available, so reserve early!

All of the secondary hotels are rated 4 stars and are within a 5 -10 minutes walk of the Ceylan InterContinental Istanbul Hotel. The hotels are comfortable, clean and offer varying services and amenity options including (limited) complimentary internet access. The immediate neighborhoods around these hotels offer convenient shopping and restaurant options.

Making Secondary Hotel Reservations

Reservations for these hotels must be made through the Micronutrient Forum’s preferred local agent, Tour Select, to receive these special rates. Since a limited number of rooms are available in each hotel, you must indicate your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices on the reservation form.

Complete the ‘Accommodation Request’ section of the Secondary Hotel and Airport Transfer Request Form and send to Tour Select directly. Tour Select will then validate receipt of your reservation request and inform you which hotel is available. In order to guarantee your reservation, you must confirm your acceptance by sending an advance deposit of 50% of the total stay. Reservations can not be guaranteed until the deposit is received.

Deposits
At booking, a deposit of 50% of the total stay, payable to Tour Select, will be required to guarantee your reservation. 30 days prior to arrival, the remaining balance of your stay will be due to Tour Select. Important note: For payment, Tour Select can only accept a bank wire transfer or Visa or MasterCard credit cards. No other form of payment or credit card can be used.

Any reservation request received after 20 March 2007 will be confirmed on a space availability basis at the hotel.

Cancellations and Refunds
A USD 70.00 cancellation fee will be charged for all cancellations received up to 45 days prior to arrival and the remaining balance of the advance deposit will be refunded. After 45 days prior to arrival, no refund of the advance deposit will be made. After 30 days prior to arrival or if the room is not occupied on the advised date of arrival (no-show) the full stay will be charged and no refund will be made. All cancellations must be made in writing directly to Tour Select.

How do I make a reservation?

1. Carefully complete the Secondary Hotel and Airport Transfer Request Form.
2. Submit the fully completed form directly to Tour Select.
3. Tour Select will validate receipt of your reservation request, inform you which hotel is available and send a Hotel & Tour Form with payment details.
4. You confirm acceptance of the hotel by completing the Hotel & Tour Form and send your deposit to Tour Select.
5. Tour Select will send you a confirmation number for your hotel reservation.
