Organizers
The first Micronutrient Forum meeting, “Consequences and Control of Micronutrient Deficiencies: Science, Policy, and Programs—Defining the Issues,” is organized by the Micronutrient Forum and the Local Organizing Committee of the Ministry of Health of Turkey. The International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) Research Foundation serves as the secretariat for the Micronutrient Forum through A2Z, the USAID Micronutrient and Child Blindness Project. A2Z is managed by the Academy for Educational Development (AED) and funded through September 2010 by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Health, Infectious Disease and Nutrition (HIDN) Office of the Bureau of Global Health, Cooperative Agreement, Leadership with Associate Awards, GHS-A-00-05-00012-00.
The Micronutrient Forum regrets the passing of one of its committee members, Dr. Rainer Gross, a tireless advocate for child nutrition.
