Travel Grants

Through its travel grant program, the Micronutrient Forum Secretariat facilitated the travel of participants to attend the Beijing meeting. Each grant covered a portion of transportation to and from the meeting site, meals, and/or lodging during the event. Grants were provided to a group of participants whose abstracts were selected for oral or poster presentations at the Forum.

As one of the sponsors of travel grants for the Micronutrient Forum, SIGHT AND LIFE encouraged the participation of students and post-docs from low-income countries with accepted abstracts in the travel grants program.

Applications to the travel grants program were received up to 15 February 2009. The Micronutrient Forum Secretariat is no longer receiving applications for travel grants. Some restrictions accompany the grants.
